Terry Stone is a Managing Partner in the Dallas office of Oliver Wyman and leads the firm’s Global Health and Life Sciences Practice. She specializes in the development of differentiated growth strategies for health payer, provider, pharmaceutical and biotech clients, as well as health enablement companies. Relevant Experience Terry leads the global practice for Oliver Wyman and oversees our Office of Reform. In these roles she is focused on staying ahead on how the legislation changes and market shifts will impact our clients. As part of this, Terry was involved in evaluating the CMS ACO regulations and developing Oliver Wyman IC and articles on the outlook for ACOs, and playbooks on the keys to success. Designed next generation Integrated Health Management strategies for 2 Blues plan. Focused on designing the future vision, evaluating the current capabilities, and developing the business case for investment. Led work for multiple health systems focused on developing a transformation roadmap to enable them to compete in a value-based healthcare environment. Work included designing and standing up ACOs, supporting contracting, clinical redesign, physician alignment, and prioritizing market segments and developing commercial strategies for “productizing” their value-based solutions. Developed a value based care strategy for a HIT company. Project work included market trends and opportunity space identification and prioritization, as well as offering/solution development, identifying future points of strategic control and developing an investment business case. Client is actively implementing and has used the immediate work product to protect current accounts against new competitors Developed a value based healthcare provider and payer collaboration strategy. We created a JV between a provider system and a payer on an MSSP ACO. We developed the application which was approved for January 1 2013. OW also designed the new clinical care models and capabilities requirements and is supporting implementation. Developed a strategy transformation for an online care company. Work focused on understanding the changing market landscape and repositioning the company to be more successful. The project analyzed new customer segments and ways to broader the value-proposition from a technology solution, to a service business with an emphasis on impacting total cost of care. Terry has a BA in Chemistry from The College of the Holy Cross and an MBA from the Kenan-Flagler School of Business at The University of North Carolina.
