David is a serial entrepreneur and a seasoned healthcare executive. David, often referred to as a disruptive innovator and entrepreneur recognized an emerging market opportunity relating to the proliferation of mHealth apps and pioneered the nation’s first Intelligence Driven Curation, a framework leveraging behavioral and clinical science combined with professional usability insights to deliver optimal consumer digital health experiences. David also recognized the need to protect consumers’ privacy and security in the rapidly growing mHealth App Marketplace, and created the Adaptive Privacy and Security framework to observe, identify, and monitor risks involved in mHealth apps and ensure consumer information is always protected. In response to these trends, David pioneered the launch of the industry’s first mHealth App Curation program and mHealth App Guidelines called "Xcertia". Today, David serves as one of the four Founding Directors of Xcertia, a non-profit joint mHealth app collaborative effort pioneered by the American Medical Association, the American Heart Association, HIMSS, and the DHX Group. David was instrumental in bringing together these organizations in a collaborative framework that builds on each organization’s ongoing efforts to foster safe, effective, and reputable health technologies, while complementing their collective commitment to advancing innovation in medicine, and improving the health of the nation. David is also the Founder and Chairman of DHX Group, a non-profit organization with a mission to accelerate the development, implementation, and adoption of sustainable digital health innovations. Under David’s leadership, DHX Group has brought together digital health transformation champions from academia and industry to drive organization and market demand in digital medicine.
